Best dry cleaning and tailor spot in the west village. Manuel the tailor is amazing. The staff is always very accommodating. They just do everything really well, from being pleasant when you walk in, doing an amazing job cleaning and packaging your clothing, to taking the time to answer any questions you may have before during or after.
Though a bit of a trek for me from the East side of Manhattan, it was absolutely worth it. I brought a newly bought dress to have the zipper replaced, and the tailors at Kingbridge was able to do it for me in a day, in time for my event! Aside from being extremely knowledgeable and friendly, their tailor department has an extensive stock of different zippers (and other clothing pieces!) to choose from, and were able to match the navy dress with a perfect navy zipper. STAY AWAY !!! I entrusted them with my $14,000 dress and explicitly requested a 1-inch trim. Upon inspecting my dress, it appeared as if the work was done by an inexperienced individual, with the end result being highly unsatisfactory. The hemming and stitching were of subpar quality, marked by irregularities. This entire experience has been nothing short of a disaster. I also have a great experience with my tailoring and dry cleaning needs but what is making me leave this review is my most recent experience. I brought a vintage and very intricate Missoni wool skirt that had several moth holes. They inspected every inch of the skirt and were able to quote me a price before accepting the skirt. I was hesitant but knew the skirt needed the TLC. I got the skirt back today and it is beautiful. You can't even see the wholes anymore. They really paid every attention to the skirt. amazing work.
